World Studies English 10 and AP Literature
Membean
We will be using the Membean vocabulary program this year. Students are required to access this program at least two times per week and study for a total of 30 minutes per week. Studying for only one session for 30 minutes does NOT fulfill the requirements of this program. Students must also meet the expectation of 60% accuracy. There will be a quiz after the two-week period. If the above requirements are not met, 30 points will be deducted from the quiz score.
Students will also be keeping track of studied words in their spiral notebooks. These will be checked occasionally. This is done so students can see their progress and have an accessible list for use in writing.
This web-based program can be accessed by computer, iPad, and smartphone. If you do not have access to one of these, please talk with me ASAP and we will make something available to you (such as computer lab access before or after school or during your lunch). We will work in class when time is available.

How to review words on Membean:
On your dashboard you should see a section titled, All Learning Sessions. In that section Membean shows the number of words you are ready to quiz on as well as the words you are currently working to master. There should be a small hyperlink, "see all," that will pull up a list of all the words you have seen and are mastering. Each word is a link to the review page where you can review the word you clicked on.
